Invitation Selection – From engagement party to whimsical wedding
This week’s invitation selection is the stationery we created for Annika and Francois who were married in Germany earlier this year. Annika and Francois came to us much earlier for their engagement party stationery where we created a simple silhouette invitation and as part of the engagement party table stationery we created some profile cut place cards which were entirely recognisable as them!
Annika and Francois wedding stationery was a move away from our ‘storyboard’ invitations, firstly we created a simple printed only save the date, with a suggestion of how the invitations may look. For the invitations themselves they wanted to re use their silhouettes but encapsulate them in a whimsical wedding scene with their monogram. Their invitation has captured the imagination of many new clients and a new format has been created off the back of it! The ‘peephole’ effect meant we could evoke a sense of how the wedding would be whilst personalising it to them with their silhouettes and monogram. On the back was tabbed information inserts and the Friday Polterabend, RSVP was via their personalised website, details printed onto the back of the invitation.
I think you’ll agree this is a truly striking invitation combining fine laser cutting and white silk screen printing onto our favourite card stock, and we are very pleased that it has inspired new Brides for their own stationery either via the ‘peep hole’ format or the lacy tree design, these we will be sharing with you in future invitation selections…
